You may or may not have noticed that I’ve been unduly parsimonious with the posts here of late. If you are reading this then … you are reading this so that means you are here reading. There hasn’t been all that much to read, yeah? Yes. Well. A wave of complete and total disgust for my fellow man has overwhelmed me to the point where I can’t even bring myself to rant. It’s not you. You are probably perfectly normal. It’s everyone else …

It’s Time.com and their un-fucking-believable article appologizing for subjecting the mass murderer Hasan to stress conditions that may or may not have caused him to aquire a never before diagnosed mental disorder that only a craptastic magazine writer like Mark Thompson of Time could give life to called PTSD-By-Proxy with a side of trigger twitch causing Hasan to accidentally on purpose contact Al Quaeda and – upon discovering that even THEY thought he was too fucking crazy to be a proper terrorist and rejected his overtures – driving him into a full bore not even his fault because he is a muslim fit of completely understandable and clearly a cry for help – MASS FUCKING MURDER.

What? Too harsh? At what point did the people in this country extract the section of their brain that allowed them to face the reality in front of them and call it like it is. Hasan is a bad, bad man. Worse. He’s an Al Quaeda wannabe who could not even get the secret handshake because he was too fucking stupid to consider the very real possiblility that Al Quaeda thought that an officer in the US Military contacting them for suggestions on Jihad COULD be a goddammed set up for a sting operation.

Look! Al Quaeda rejected him so he CAN’T be a terrorist.

I think he has a good chance for an insanity defense, but that does not make him any less a bad, bad man and the fact that he was looking for tips from Bin Laden makes him a fucking terrorist. He just wasn’t an a-list supercalifragilisticexpialidociously cool terrorist.

“Secondary PTSD” Really? He attended the same Mosque as the 9-11 hijackers at the same time. He tried to contact Al Quaeda before doing this, but – it was stress from listening to soldiers returning from the war? That’s what it was? Premeditated as all hell but he was wiggin out spontaneously – long enough to buy guns, sell his furniture, hire a cleaning lady and contact his local terrorist hotline.

People are insane. Not Hasan in spite of what I said earlier. I said he could make a case for insanity, not that he actually WAS insane. Hasan was calm cool and collected. But these people opening their own skulls, yanking out their brains, turning the brain matter around to face them and asking: ” WTH is the matter with you? Of COURSE it wasn’t a terrorist act you racist jihad hater. Now find a way to word it appropriately or shut the hell up.” … those people are fucking crazy as a sprayed roach and they are in cars driving on the same roads I drive and raising kids.

You know, Marge? That Thompson guy — he has a valid point. All these soldiers coming back from the war unloading on these psychiatrist people, they are like carriers or something. It’s a wonder more of those doctors don’t snap and kill us all.

How has this happened? How have we become a nation of people who cannot recognize a bad, bad man when we SEE him. Is it the news we read?

If you are visiting here from Time to see what the link through is about and you work for Time – Fuck you. You work for a magazine that used to stand for something, that had some standards, but now is an insult to even the most challenged intellect. You can’t appologize enough for that godaweful article. Look what your twisted logic has wrought — a nation of morons. I hope you are happy. I hope that you are thrilled to your toes that you actually manage to suck IQ points out of people’s heads with every word you write. To your reader, the cranial evacuation may be painless, but to the rest of us who have to watch the result of that horror, it is hell on earth.

Now. For those of you who can still be saved, say it after me: Major Nidal Malik Hasan is a bad, bad man and he is solely responsible for premeditated mass murder which qualifies by every yard stick as a terrorist-fucking-act. Don’t follow with a “but” or a caveat and don’t introduce an empathetic mitigating factor. You — you don’t empathize with mass murderers. You don’t. That’s not your son … unless you are Norman Bates’ mom. That “couldn’t happen to anyone”. Hassan was an evil, murdering man. Recognize it. Next time recognize it before his evil cousin murders more innocent people minding their own business. We are all sitting ducks if we can’t recognize an evil act when we see it.

His terrorist motive is obvious to everyone but the press and the Army brass.

The tide of pronouncements and ruminations pointing to every cause for this event other than the one obvious to everyone in the rational world continues apace. Commentators, reporters, psychologists and, indeed, army spokesmen continue to warn portentously, “We don’t yet know the motive for the shootings.”

What a puzzle this piece of vacuity must be to audiences hearing it, some, no doubt, with outrage.

Word, Dorothy. It makes my head hurt to see stupidity like this on parade like it’s a good thing.

When can we start profiling these people?

I wonder if this Mark Thompson is the same guy who has a show on Sirius Left … if it is then it makes sense. You have to hear this guy spew racism and hatred and Black Liberation / Reparation ideas… Truly frightening.

Political correctness is going to be the end of us. Balance and truth is all I ask of the press. They have now proven to me they are unable to do so any longer.

    BTW, love that word “parsimonious”.
We miss you when you don’t rant …

    Bride,
on “parsimonious” … a short story.

Years ago my husband sold real estate in Islamorada. He had a listing for a house in Port Antigua in Lower Matecumbe. It was one of the few low price homes in the area because it was old and needed some work. I helped him out and I placed an ad for him in the Free Press and made some brochures as part of his marketing plan. The ad said “Parsimonious in Port Antigua” … Ay-ay-ay! Did that get me in trouble with the lister and folks in the Port Antigua Community Association! That word will forever bring back those memories … :)
