Nothing pisses me off more than having to drop down to MySQL level and toggle settings but that’s what I’ve finally had to do on this blog. 90 spam comments an hour is more than even I’m willing to kill off and the new comment policy wasn’t covering the older posts. Faced with the task of having to close comments on over 500 posts individually I decided to suck it up and go into the database for a full tilt swap. Hopefully THAT will block the spam. Since this isn’t happening on any other blogs of mine I have to assume it’s political.

Bad Behavior is an EPIC fail, btw.

From this post on – cross fingers – the register requirement will hopefully block the spam from getting through.

Lockdown over

Well that was crazy. I think I’ve got them blocked now. You can register if you want but you don’t have to for commenting. First comment will go into moderation. All future comments are auto-approved.
