I’ve been reading the tweets, scanning GateWay Pundit’s blog and watching the videos. As Obama has instructed I am “witness”. What was the exact quote?
*Searching* Heh. It wasn’t all his. Typical.
Martin Luther King once said – “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” I believe that. The international community believes that. And right now, we are bearing witness to the Iranian peoples’ belief in that truth, and we will continue to bear witness.
So here we are — standing around watching all of this and wringing our hands because we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t. And you know? I think most bloggers understand this fear. If you say anything, someone is going to criticize you. So if I say anything, I could get my ass handed to me by other bloggers, you know? And that’s just … it’s a real time waster. I have more important things to do than stick my hand in that hornet’s nest, right? In a few weeks no one will remember that I didn’t post anything, but if I do — man Google and Bing are a real bitch for my image. If I say anything too out there supporting one side over the other, my whole shinyness will grime over. How in the hell will I ever get anyone to like me again if I say the wrong thing?
Do I have this Obama Doctrine about right?
We used to call it the “Hear No Evil. Speak No Evil. See no Evil.” rule of thumb and it works — totally — if you’re running for Prom King or Queen. Of course everyone knows you re a big fat faker and mealy mouthed coward, but hey. Everyone likes you and wants to BE you even though you have the substance of a goddamned sucked out Twinkie.

“Bear witness”, my ass. I can’t believe this is my country. Can’t even point to France and say our usual, “Well. THEY aren’t saying anything at all so at least we aren’t as pathetic as France!” Because Sarkozy has more balls than our President, Senate and House of Representatives combined.
