I’m not watching the Sunday news shows because – well – it’s Sunday. But as you know, the Obama administration always, always reveals the most vile and disturbing crap on the weekends so SOMEONE needs to be watching these jerks on Sundays. Thank god, Time.com and DrudgeReport.com never take a day off watching these hawtch hawtchers because today – Biden excreted one whopper of an understatement.
Biden is like the village idiot who no one notices is around and if they notice him they figure he’s too stupid to do anything with any private information he overhears, so they ignore him for the most part. And then – one glorious day arrives, the situation is ripe for mayhem — and he spills everything that matters from the family vault. Today is one of Biden’s reveal days. The thing is, like the village idiot, I don’t think he understands the entire picture. Actually I KNOW he doesn’t understand the entire picture. He thinks that the intentions of the President and Congress were good when they shoved through HR1 and the Omnibus Bill. He thinks that TARP was really a rescue for the US economy. He thinks that pretty much everyone was on board with “The Plan” when it went through and that anyone who wasn’t, was against it for petty political reasons. Hense, the “Everyone” guessed wrong on the stimulous. Because everyone else? The one’s against all the spending? Well – they were irrelevant.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Irrelevant. I am one of thousands who are also Irrelevant. I and my cousins spoke out against TARP, HR1, Omnibus saying they would not “fix the economy” because the government spending money it doesn’t have on shit we don’t need is not a solution in any rational universe. We who are Irrelevant, were completely baffled by friends who said bazaar stuff like “Well, we have to do SOMETHING – ANYTHING.” and “You just don’t like it because it’s the Democrats pushing it through. If you had your way we would completely collapse just to prove some political point.” and my personal favorite “You people have had your shot and screwed us into this mess. It’s time to sit down, shut up and watch how grown ups handle a crisis.” I must say it has been fascinating watching the grown ups going on Date Nights in New York, shopping in Paris and sight seeing in London as the Chinese are laughing at our tax cheat of a Treasury Secretary when he says our bonds are safe and Helicopter Ben – the man who brought his college thesis to life by doing new and interesting things to our dollar, to the point where the ghost of Torquemada has risen and stands in wonder at the horror of it, wishing he had been half so inventive during the height of the Inquisition – begging Congress to STOP SPENDING! Reverse course! Egress. Egress. Egress! Because he was – you know – catastrophically wrong about everything.
So, Joe. We didn’t ALL get it wrong — just the cool kids. Score one nail removed on the door barricading Club Irrelevant.
I’m going back to clearing the back yard out and then? We might go for a sunset cruise if it doesn’t rain. I now return you to your regular all American Sunday afternoon.
