Here is a video of WH Reporters not standing for Bush and jumping to their feet for Obama. There are only two things that could be true about this.

Thing One: Obama demands that the WH Press Corps stand and Bush did not require it.
Thing Two: The WH Press corps respect Obama and disdained Bush.

The first one makes Obama look like the prig he is and is the more likely of the two scenarios. The second one makes the WH Press Corps look like asshats and I would not be at all surprised to hear this was the case — all things considered.

That in mind, if either one or two are true, that makes this next story that much more chilling.

ABC is reporting that the Obama Administration threatened to sic the WH Press Corp on creditors of Chrysler, subjecting them to the death threats and public flogging that he unleashed on AIG. The Wall Street Journal hasn’t said anything about it yet. Given that this fits perfectly with Obama’s MO I amd fairly certain it’s true and just flat out unbelievable. This president is a dangerous, dangerous man. Either he has no idea what he is doing when he unleashes his ACORN thugs and the WH Press on private citizens who are breaking no laws or he knows and just has zero regard for the rule of law and a real zeal for whipping up the class wars. I try to ignore stories about the expensive sneakers and pricey nights out on the town he and his wife enjoy because ordinarily it is no one’s business. Success should be enjoyed. The employees who make those shoes and work at those restaurants benefit from the patronage. But when a President wants to enjoy that success while punishing everyone else then I have a real problem. That kind of behavior is shamefull and if we had an honest press they would be all over it.

But this is small stuff on the richter scale of a country in the throws of financial collapse. China just cut up our credit cards right the hell in front of our faces. It’s just one story among thousands, just one step further down the mountain, but it is huge.

Perella Weinberg Partners decided to join the White House plan now. Steve Rattner supposedly threatened to destroy their rep if they didn’t join up. I have no reason to doubt this.
The world is just ducky this fine Monday morning.

This is scary stuff. There might be a third option . . .
There might be a bit of the Stockholm Syndrome involved with the reporters. Remember what happened to the ones who did’t tow the line during the campaign … out of the plane and under the bus.

Ferfe, I do bring up the sneakers, etc. It’s the double standard that irks me and as petty as it may seem, I won’t shut-up about it.

The Chrysler story is true – it seems and they are fighting back using the fifth amendment.

The class warfare Obama is waging is disgusting to me. It brings us all down to the mud.
