That’s what drives the Tea Parties — not taxes today, but all of the spending that will eventually require crushing taxes to resolve. The Obama administration plans a spending spree unlike anything outside of world wars in our history, and wants to sell a fantasy that only the rich have to pay for it. It’s ridiculous on its face. The amounts are staggeringly high, and even 100% confiscation wouldn’t begin to cover it.

I have to work today but I am following the Tea Parties and if possible I will go out later today. The Miata’s Alternator died yesterday and it should be all better by 2-ish.
Glenn Beck is on a tear right now. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him this pissed off. That DHS doc rattled a lot of cages. On the one hand, Beck predicted this vilification but the reality is much harsher than – I think – anyone expected. It’s just not in the conservative DNA to lay down for something like this. That document was – I fear – the shot heard round the world. The left really should reconsider this tactic. It’s not going to intimidate people into shutting up. In fact, I believe it will have the opposite effect times ten.
