Jesus. That was harsh but true. As I write this we have an $800 million dollar Navy destroyer completely neutered by four stick men in a broken down lifeboat. We are completely undone by this administration. The Captain attempted to rescue himself but was recaptured. We can see every person in that boat with infrared and we could kill each and every one of the stick men before they ever knew what happened, but no. We are negotiating with them even as more of their bretheren are racing to the scene completely fearless of what used to be the awesome power of the US Navy.

Dude. Why is the President trying to disassociate from this situation? And if it’s not a US issue why is our Navy out there? Is Obama not the commander in chief? (lower case deliberate) Just leave. Get the cargo ship out of there and bail. I pray for the Captain but if this is not an issue for our President then back that up and leave. Let the shipping company handle it. As Ross Perot proved American corporations are more than capable of doing what the Carters and Obama’s of the world cannot do.
Yeah I said it. This is the Iranian Hostage situation all the hell over again.

One Hostage Dies as French Navy Frees Sailboat From Pirates

PARIS — Officials say the Navy has stormed a French sailboat being held by pirates in the Gulf of Aden, off the coast of Somalia, and that one hostage was killed in the operation.
President Nicolas Sarkozy’s office says two pirates were killed in the operation and three others taken prisoner. The boat, the Tanit, was seized by pirates Saturday with four adults and a child aboard.

Carter’s humiliation of the US lasted 444 days. We could potentially have four solid years of this nonsense. Half of me wants it because at least half the country damned well deserves it. The other half of me has kids and wants the gomers gone already. Sigh. As President Obama points out – he won. So I guess the humiliations will continue apace until the next election.
I haven’t been able to put my finger on what’s bothering me about the pirate situation until you mentioned the Iranian hostages. Good point. That was a cluster f*c* from beginning to end.
Sarkozy does have a pair. I wonder if that pisses off the French? 40 hour work weeks and now this. How dare he…

Iran will continue to build their nuclear bomb, North Korea will do the same with their missiles, Chavez will continue to raise hell and create havoc in South America while Obama desires to sing Kumbayah and hold hands with our enemies. We are screwed until the new elections of 2012. If by then the American people have not awaken to this failure of an empty suit, and vote in droves against him, we are doomed as a nation.
