I had to turn Glenn Beck off this morning because, for once, he was making sense to me. I have not hidden my intense dislike of The Grinch on this blog.

Who the hell has to take an oath of fidelity to their wife? And IF you are the kind of person for whom this seems to make sense, then what does that say about you as a person? You are either the faithful kind or you are not. Gingrich is not.

But the most notorious of them all is undoubtedly Gingrich, who ran for Congress in 1978 on the slogan, “Let Our Family Represent Your Family.” (He was reportedly cheating on his first wife at the time). In 1995, an alleged mistress from that period, Anne Manning, told Vanity Fair’s Gail Sheehy: “We had oral sex. He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, ‘I never slept with her.’” Gingrich obtained his first divorce in 1981, after forcing his wife, who had helped put him through graduate school, to haggle over the terms while in the hospital, as she recovered from uterine cancer surgery. In 1999, he was disgraced again, having been caught in an affair with a 33-year-old congressional aide while spearheading the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton. ~ High Infidelity: What if three admitted adulterers run for president and no one cares? By Steve Benen

Has everyone but me forgotten what he did as speaker of the house? There is a reason he stepped down in shame. Clinton despised him on a personal level and from one adulterer to another that’s a pretty profound statement.

Beck is spending the week railing about Newt’s Progressive leanings and his support of Progressives and his non-stop attacks on Capitalism, even as Gingrich bilks the aparatus of millions, along the access paths only the ruling elite can travel. He looks cherubic. He speaks in practical, ice cold terms in a way that makes the listener feel included and smart.

He is a courrupt and dangerous man.

There’s nothing wrong with that, btw. More power to him for finding his niche, but don’t vote for him because you buy the current facade he is presenting. Vote for him because you want a ruthless socialist hawk who will nudge you into herds for your own good and kill off the finest of us in wars on the pretext that war makes us safe and strong. Vote for who he really is, not for what you want him to be, because he makes you want it. Ignore what he’s saying and look at what he has actually done with his life.

He is a libertine and a dilettante. He claims credit for the brilliance of others and uses people unmercifully. Think about it. What has he ever created or accomplished that was of any value to the human race? Nothing.

Survival skilz. Newt haz dem.

Follow him and you do so without me and don’t come crying to me later when it all turns to hammered shit. I believed in him once, but never again.
